Work for an industry leader!  International manufacturer is searching for an experienced Project Engineer II to complete a team at their Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility.

The focus of this position is to assist in project engineering and contractor management activities. These projects are typically industrial in nature and involve civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and automation disciplines. The PE II participates across multiple projects within various portfolios and is expected take leadership of projects, specific assignments and portfolios of projects with similar technological or administrative challenges.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Work with clients to: develop project scope and statement of work documents, develop process flow diagrams and P&ID's, participate in process improvement events, develop functional descriptions, material lists and specifications for planning, verify compliance of the project, review material receiving to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, estimates quotes and bid-packages, manage the update of plant drawings, and work on lean initiatives. Meet with vendors, contractors and suppliers, develop process improvement plans, review estimates and quotes for accuracy.  Will communicate regularly with Management, Plant Manager and Accounting Department.

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering, 5-10 years process industry experience required, food and beverage is preferred and experience participating or leading lean events, the ability to work in an fast paced environment, be driven, a forward thinker and have a passion for the industry.

Food, beverage or chemical manufacturing background strongly preferred.

Salary $80,000 - $95,000 + bonus, with outstanding benefits!  Full relocation package available.
